Dr. Kishore’s distinctions include induction as a Chartered Biologist (CBiol) and Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB), United Kingdom; elected Fellowships of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), American Physiological Society (FAPS), American Heart Association (FAHA), and International Society of Nephrology (FISN); and citations in Marquis Who’sWho in Medicine and Health Care, and European Biographical Directory. Dr. Kishore is Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (JAAPI), Associate Editor of Frontiers in Physiology (Renal and Epithelial Physiology), and Guest Associate Editor of Frontiers in Endocrinology (Obesity) and serves on the Editorial Boards other journals. Recently, he received Outstanding Editor Award from the Frontiers in Renal Physiology and Pathophysiology, a Swtizerland-based journal. Dr. Kishore has served as an expert reviewer for the US National Institutes of Health and the US Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as organizations and foundations in the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Denmark, The Netherlands, Singapore, and India. He co-founded Renal Purinergic Club, that brings scientists in the field of purinergic signaling in the kidney on both sides of the Atlantic to a common platform and conducts Ancillary Meetings in conjunction with national conferences. During his long academic career Dr. Kishore mentored several pre-med and post-graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in Belgium and the United States, many of whom are now in high positions in medicine or healthcare, academics or industry.

Apart from his academic and professional activities, Dr. Kishore has been active in community service. He served as the President of the Kurnool Medical College Alumni of North America (KMC-ANA); Founding Trustee of Telugu Association of Utah; Vice President of the APNA Foundation, a non-profit organization doing service projects in the United States and India; Trustee of the Sankara Nethralaya OM Trust USA, an ophthalalmic charity; Founded SAI Kuteer, a faith-based charity helping homeless Veterans and other communities; Coordinator of AAPI-Veterans Obesity Awareness Campaign at the VA Salt Lake City Medical Center, Salt Lake City, Utah.
